Welcome to HOPES:
The Huntington's Disease Outreach
Project for Education,
at Stanford
HOPES is a student-run project at Stanford University that offers a public web resource on Huntington's Disease. We focus on the scientific side of Huntington's Disease (HD), hoping to make accessible recent research on the causes and effects of HD and what can be done about them. We do not run a research lab or publish original findings; rather we summarize and synthesize the research of others for a non-technical audience. We aim to complement the valuable care-and-support information available on the Huntington's Disease Advocacy Center (HDAC) website. The HOPES team includes faculty advisors who supervise and proof-read its content, but the main work is done by Stanford students, mostly juniors and seniors (to read more about us, click here). Please bear with us if new postings appear at uneven intervals as we work our way through mid-terms and finals. To contact HOPES with comments or questions, click
